Registration for the 2023 Christian Game Developers Conference is now live!

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you don’t want to miss the 2023 Christian Game Developers Conference!

What is the Christian Game Developers Conference?

CGDC is an annual event that brings together Christians from all over the world who are passionate about creating games that glorify God and serve His kingdom. It’s a time of fellowship, worship, learning and fun for everyone involved in the game development process. Whether you’re a professional, a hobbyist or a beginner, you’ll find something for you at the CGDC.

Location and Pricing

This year’s conference will be held from July 20-23 at Azusa Pacific University in California. That’s only 135 days away (keep track with our new homepage countdown)! As a reminder, registration for the conference is now open and we have some amazing deals for you. If you act fast, you can get one of our Super Early Bird tickets for only $220 USD. This gives you access to all four days of the conference, including keynote sessions, workshops, panels, game showcases in the Expo and more.

If you can only attend two days of the conference, you can get a 2 Day Super Early Bird ticket for only $185 USD. But hurry up! These tickets are limited and they will only be available until May 21st. After that point, our standard Early Bird tickets will go on sale followed by the regular conference tickets. Of course, you can always pay at the door when you arrive as well!

If you need a place to stay during the conference, you can book a dormitory room on campus for only $35 USD per night per person. The dorms are double occupancy so you may be sharing with someone else, but this is a great way to save money and make new friends! If you prefer more privacy or if you’re coming with your family, we have suites available for you for an additional cost.

A small family of up to four members (two parents and two children) can get one full suite for one night for $85 USD. A large family of up to eight members (four parents and four children) can get two full suites (one parent and three children per suite) for $165 USD per night.

To be absolutely clear, we’ve simplified ticketing this year per your feedback, and everyone – individuals and families alike – will need to purchase one ticket per night that they are staying as opposed to purchasing one bundled ticket that includes all of the nights! Setting it up this way has allowed us to reduce the number of tickets you will be looking at on the registration page.

So, for example, if you’re an individual staying for each night of the conference, load your cart up with one ticket per night for yourself and check out. The same goes for families – add one family ticket per night to your cart before heading to the payment screen.

The Schedule and Keynote Speaker

As we’ve previously discussed, we’ve changed our speaker format this year. CGDC Virtual is now the place to speak and share your gifts, talents, wisdom and industry experience with your peers. Anyone can apply, and this past Virtual, we had a load of wonderful sessions all hosted by you!

The physical conference will be a place to focus on faith, fellowship and fun, and to take the load off of you and let you enjoy these aspects of the event (which feedback overwhelmingly states is your favorite part!) we’ve chosen a handful of speakers and a keynote speaker to fill out our sessions. These speakers will be announced soon, so please wait a little while longer as we finalize the details.
