Tim Emmerich said… Welcome Jordan! I took a quick look at your site and the article I read is interesting - I will have to check out the others!
Escondido! Is there a Long John Silver's still there! Yes, I like LJS but I get the chicken planks, not the fish.
God bless,
Tim
Tim Emmerich said… Hi -
I'm up in Oregon - but I was down in san diego for ~6 weeks for a job assignment. And I always look up LJS as I travel!
A lot of friendly folks down there! And you aren't too far from Legoland!
God bless,
Tim

Lydia said… Me too! Welcome to our site. I just read your Dec. 10th article on follow and engage. I really enjoyed it. I never really could completely wrap my mind around how playing violent video games did not cause the majority of men to become violent in the real world. I thought maybe it had to do with men having more testosterone and not needing to hunt or defend ones family from danger in our society. It seemed like an outlet for that. I could tell, though that I didn't have the whole picture yet. I think I get it now.
"You’ve been training all your lives to defeat evil. Don’t let it go to waste."
Reading that caused me to tear ("teer", not "tare") up. That's what so many men and young men have been doing in this generation (I'm 36): letting themselves go to waste. There was a man on focus on the family recently who was speaking on the larger topic of trying to teach young men how to be men. He addressed the impact of video games on men. I'm so glad that the Lord has opened your eyes to the fact that you are needed out in the real world. It is heartening to see you sharing that message with the men (and women) of this and the next generation.
Thank you for your piece of the puzzle. :)
Lydia said… I'm not, I just really like games. I heard about the conference on air1 and attended for the first time in 1997. One of my hobbies is making Escape-the-Room games.
I feel called to be support staff for the organization and the website. I got to do on-site registration at two of the conferences. In every organization, there is a need for different skill-sets. "If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be?" How about you? :)
