This group is for developers to announce significant news on projects they are working on. So shameless plugs are totally on-target. But it's also for people looking to know what projects are out there in active production.See More
"Hey, I don't remember the garage sale, but your face looks very familiar. I didn't expect to find anyone from Brandon here. I'm looking to build up a resume of games, do you need any free freelance work?"
"HI Ian, I'm so glad for you. I will always keep you in mind! Met you a while back at your parents garage sale with my husband Marty. Don't think you remember me. Tried to get the bow to work. Did pick up…"
"well I can't program. However, if you give me a genera, such as an rpg mystery, and a general idea of what you want written, I can write the quest/story and you program the game.
For example, a guy just asked me to write a story for a tower…"
HI Ian, I'm so glad for you. I will always keep you in mind! Met you a while back at your parents garage sale with my husband Marty. Don't think you remember me. Tried to get the bow to work. Did pick up the archery tarket. Thanks, Michelle
In case you haven't seen the Conference Info group, I put an announcement on there that the CGDCnews twitter feed will be monitored during the conference for those not attending to interact with those at the conference, so be sure to leave questions/comments there. This is also specifically for people to leave questions there for the panel on Sat.:
Lydia: "On saturday of our conference there will be a panel called 'Christian Gaming: Risks and Opportunities' with a bunch of people who've been active in the industry for a while. Chris Skaggs of Soma Games and Tim Emmerich of Graceworks Interactive will be two of the panel members. Check out the conference scedule for details on the others involved with that panel. Anthony, since I know you can't come, I have good news for you. Even though live streaming wasn't able to be worked out this year, they're planning on recording the sessions so people can watch them after the conference. :)"
Please share this with anyone you know who would be interested in the above info.
In case you are not on Brian Perry's email list, I decided to Fwd you a message from him to us (those interested in working on his team in some way). When he says "get together", I think he means over the web on google Hang-out . In whatever capacity you want to be involved (or not) please pray for the Lord's will to be done in this endeavor. :)
What's going on group?
You ready to start things back up again? I know I have been gone a while but I had some very hard classes and hefty thesis paper to knock out but I'm back. If all of you are still ready to get this game thing started again, we can do it. I just need serious committed people that are willing to take this thing seriously. I need everyone still interested to give me their best times when they can get together. If you are not interested or going to be busy, let me know. If you are still interested then bring your A game. We will be getting this company off the ground and we will be making money. We will be using personal finance, Kickstarter, and/or Joystick to finance, so any of you that stick with it will get paid and have experience. We will make Christian based games and we will use the Cube engine to make them. Any questions? Let me know. If I don't hear back from you within a week, I will assume your not interested anymore.
