We have TWO conferences planned for 2009, so if one date is not convenient for you, please plan to attend the other!
Coming up next on the calendar is the first ever CGDC Winter Retreat, February 5-6-7 in the mountain lodge at 5 Rock Ranch, Yamhill, Oregon. People who register early will get a discount. The absolute deadline to register for the Winter Retreat is January 2, 2009. Don't wait too long! The theme for the Winter Retreat is "ENCOURAGEMENT".
The CGDC 2009 Winter Retreat will start on Thursday, February 5, at noon with a luncheon keynote address, and end Saturday evening, February 7, at 9:00 p.m. with fellowship over the closing meal. Check-in begins at 9:00 a.m. Thursday. We will be meeting and staying at the 5 Rock Ranch in Yamhill, Oregon. The conference fees cover 2 nights lodging and 8 meals (even linens for the beds). Early arrivals are allowed with an extra per-night charge. Additional meals are available also for an additional charge per meal. Rooms will not be cleaned nor linens changed during your stay unless you specifically request this service (this service is also only available for an additional charge).
There is an Early-bird discount for registering early! Please register as soon as possible!
Note: Children are welcome at this site, and you can recieve a discount on admission for children under 12. Children under 10 absolutely must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times on the ranch. Children age 12 and over must register as "Adults".
Your registration includes the following:
- 3 days of conference speakers and activities
- 2 nights lodging
- 8 meals (lunch Thursday through dinner Saturday)
- Afternoon snacks all 3 days
- Exposition area
- Fellowship with other Christian developers!
Costs:
Early Bird Discount when registering before November 1, 2008:
Adult registration is $159 per person. Child registration is $99 per person.
Advance Discount when registering between November 1, 2008 and December 1, 2008:
Adult registration is $179 per person. Child registration is $110 per person.
Late Registration when registering between December 1, 2008 and January 2, 2009:
Adult registration is $190 per person. Child registration is $120 per person.

Meals & Snacks:
All meals & snacks are served buffet style. They are not all you can eat, however, they are very large portions. Second helpings are allowed after everyone is through the line. Also includes coffee and tea service throughout your stay. The proposed menu, subject to change (but should be very close to this):
Thursday Lunch: sandwich bar (ham, roast beef, turkey, cheeses, breads, condiments), salad bar, fresh fruit, chips, lemonade, fruit punch, milk, cookie
Thursday Snack: apples & caramel dip, chips/ranch dip, granola bars
Thursday Dinner: meatloaf, roasted potatoes, homemade mac & cheese, brown sugar carrots, tossed salad, rolls, tropical iced tea, lemonade, milk, pie
Friday Breakfast: biscuits, gravy, sausage patty, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, cantaloupe, orange juice, milk
Friday Lunch: chicken strips, cross cut fries, salad bar, fruit salad, lemonade, fruit punch, milk, brownie
Friday Snack: vegetable platter w/ranch dip, crackers w/ spinach dip
Friday Dinner: fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn on the cob, tossed salad, yeast roll, tropical iced tea, lemonade, milk, ice cream sundae (we can do sundaes later in the café)
Saturday Breakfast: french toast, bacon, yogurt/granola/fruit crunch, oatmeal (w/raisins, brown sugar & nuts), fresh fruit, apple juice, milk
Saturday Lunch: hamburgers (w/cheese), hot dogs, chili, haystacks (this is a ranch favorite: corn chips w/ chili, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes), apples slices & orange wedges, soda, lemonade, milk
Saturday Snack: freshly made pico de gallo, homemade bean salsa, nacho cheese dip, tortilla chips
Saturday Dinner: fresh made pasta sauce or alfredo sauce, fettuccini, homemade meatballs, grilled chicken breast, minestrone soup, breadsticks, caesar salad, cheese cake, tropical iced tea, lemonade, milk
What To Bring:
Flashlight; Camera; Personal hygiene items (soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush, washcloth, brush or comb); Towel (towels will be provided for people who are flying in, when indicated below on this form - local people should plan to bring their own towels, or buy one from the camp store.)
There is no cellphone access at the site. There Is however a phone available with unlimited long distance service in the US and Canada for important calls. There is also wireless internet on the main floor of the lodge (where the Expo area, dining hall, and keynote auditorium will be). So bring your laptops to stay in touch with the outside world!
Transportation Information
Are you flying in? It is about a 1 hour drive from the Portland International Airport (PDX) to 5 Rock Ranch in Yamhill, Oregon. Please plan accordingly. You can rent a car at your expense, or you can plan to ride using the Shuttle service to the site for a $35 fee each way. Be sure to remember your Flight Arrival and Departure times if you plan to use the provided shuttle service.

The annual Summer Conference is tentatively scheduled for August 6-7-8 at Cascade College in Portland, Oregon again. The registration page for this is not yet available.
